Commerical area Unna-Nord 

 The commercial area Unno-Nord covers approx. 150 hectares. In recent years, it has become a strong logistics site with an excellent infrastructure and numerous companies, among them Rhenus-Logistics and one of the largest DHL subsidiaries.

The recent establishment of the contractual logistics specialist is located right across the already existent DHL complex in Gießerstraße: the "Logistics Campus" - a special complex for customers from the consumer goods field.
During the first construction phase alone, on an area of 244,000 square meters, three halls with a total storage area of 60,000 square meters were built. 140,000 square meters of hall area are also planned for the near future. The annual volume of transshipment: approx. 1.5 million pallets.
The "Logistics Campus” in Unna is the first of its kind in Germany, and therefore, is an important step in our efforts to promote Unna as an outstanding logistics location.

Another company establishment in the commercial area Unna-Nord that has attained international recognition: ThyssenKrupp VDM has built the most modern smithery worldwide. The company with its headquarters in Werdohl is a leading manufacturer of metallic high-performance materials and has established its melting and casting production units in Unna. The special alloys that are produced here are mainly used in the aerospace industry.
